Facebook has signed a 50 million dollar deal with FriendFeed.It looks as if someone is gearing up to give Twitter a run for their money with this deal.Look for twitter to be bought out soon as well in my opinion they just cannot keep moving forward without some sort of major funding.

A huge win for the enterprise could also be a huge win for personal users -- here's hoping some of this technology trickles down to folks who get push Gmail over BlackBerry Internet Service. That experience is mediocre at best, and not nearly as well-integrated as Yahoo! Mail, which handles messaging over BIS better than Gmail.
Facebook is really excellent. I can not imagine my life without it. I gained there a lot of friends and interesting people.
Everything has its peak.Now is the time for twitter.It will be interesting to see how long twitter craze lasts and who will topple them.May be this will will affect them in some way or the other or may be not.
It makes sense that there has to be some competitor to take some market share from Twitter. No business is going to own a category like Twitter currently does without someone trying to take a slice of it.

I'm not an expert in twitting and stuff, but I think that Twitter is following totally different path than Facebook. Twitter is just filled with web marketers sending their spam everywhere they can, and other people who are trying to increase their blogs traffic. Facebook is more social networking site than Twitter, the both sites are similar but nevertheless different in many ways.
